CONCEPT: StartMeUp is the smarter, more tech savvy sister to the television series Shark Tank—but broadcast as a web series. StartMeUp gives the viewing audience the opportunity to contribute financially through a proprietary crowdfunding platform. StartMeUp connects with the home audience in new ways, both emotionally and technologically. The viewer must tune-in to the episode at its initial release time, to establish StartMeUp as the first web series to aggregate its viewing audience to a particular viewing time. StartMeUp will become the first “appointment-viewing" web series in history. Ensuring an appointment-based audience will lead advertisers to embrace the format & establish a scalable revenue stream. StartMeUp will allow for new content to be developed in a similar manner, while creating a sustainable and scalable platform and an attractive acquisition target for current networks.
