liftUPlift is a hybridized social network and e-commerce marketplace, where you can shop directly from woman-owned businesses for everything from soap to software. liftUPlift provides women makers with a platform to sell their products and grow their businesses, and it charges a fee per transaction. Sellers may pledge an additional percentage of each sale to liftUPlift Worldwide, an affiliated nonprofit organization dedicated to combatting violence against women. Buyers can easily donate to liftUPlift Worldwide at the time of checkout, and they earn rewards for shopping from sellers that donate a portion of sales. Founded by Corielle Heath and Rachel Jones in September 2014, the liftUPlift marketplace is currently in beta and launching to the public in September, 2015. liftUPlift is the only online marketplace wholly designed, built and owned by women, with female consumers in mind.
