Moneythink Mobile is as an interactive social platform that engages youth in challenges that build financial awareness, skills, and habits. These weekly challenges are facilitated by mentors and driven by peer interaction on an ongoing basis through the app, as students share their progress in “challenge rooms” – challenge-specific social news feeds in which students post updates as well as browse, like, and comment on the posts of their peers. Students are rewarded for completing challenges through a points system that students can in turn cash in for rewards at the end of the program. Each challenge maps to one of Moneythink’s two pillars for financial success: making money and managing money. As students complete challenges that relate to each pillar, they visualize their progress in each of these two categories.
