Bootstrapped since the fall of 2013 by Ryan Hoch (former Teach For America teacher) and Kevin Hoffman, Overgrad serves over 30,000 students across 100 high schools with nine paying university customers, including two of the three largest universities (University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and Illinois State University) in Overgrad’s initial target market, Illinois. Overgrad will create economic opportunity for every high school and college student. Overgrad is a web platform that allows students to search for colleges and careers, track their progress towards acquiring the skills requested by the colleges and careers they are interested in, and eventually will connect the student with resources to close skill gaps. Our platform allows university, military, workforce, and trade school recruiters to search for current and future candidates for their open positions.
