There are many apps available which allow you to project yourself upon the world, but none which allows individuals to know how the world views them. Almost everyone goes through a process of self-evaluation and deciding who they want to be, but often we receive little feedback on our progress, and no confirmation that others view us as we do ourselves. Pegmi is an app allowing users to anonymously peg each other with character traits and defining interests. Pegs collect in a user’s Pegmi profile and create a personality portrait. There are no negative Pegs as we want to encourage positive reinforcement. Pegs are anonymous so users can give someone feedback or compliments without judgement or awkwardness. A person receiving an anonymous Peg knows that it has no ‘strings’ attached, and is free of expectation – it exists just to make them feel good. Users can also view other people’s profiles to learn about their friends and friends of friends.
